The GIPZ subsidiary, Direct Connect AS, has finalized an acquisition of all the wireless broadband customers from Varanger Kraftutvikling in the Northern part of Norway effective from January 1st, 2008.
The GIPZ subsidiary, Direct Connect AS, has previously successfully deployed wireless broadband networks for Finnmark Fylkeskommune and has again been selected for a third contract with Finnmark Fylkeskommune to build and operate a wireless broadband network in 6 more municipalities in the Northern parts of Norway.
The GIPZ subsidiary, Direct Connect AS, has signed a contract with Tana Kommune, a local county government in North of Norway, for building a wireless broadband network in several new locations in the county.
The GIPZ subsidiary, Direct Connect AS, has signed a contract with Nesna Kommune, a county in the middle region of Norway, to deploy and operate a public fixed wireless broadband network in the area.
The GIPZ subsidiary, Direct Connect AS, has signed a second contract with Voss Kommune for building additional coverage of the wireless broadband service in the county having near 100% of the county covered.
